All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,
Greetings on this Monday! I was amazed as to how many veterans we have in our congregation. I did not count but for a small congregation we have a very high percentage of such fine men and women who have served our great country. Thank you all again for your service in the various branches of our military.
The date of the Massage Therapist coming to the Trinity Life Center has been rescheduled for Saturday December 2nd, 2023. I am told that we have two openings as of this moment when I am writing this email. The time are 2:00PM and 2:30PM. So if you are interested give Carmen our Office Manager a call and get signed up.
Please remember that this coming Sunday will be the last Sunday to financially assist Rev. Olckers. He is facing some very challenging financial obligations as he fights to get his eyesight back. His situation is one where we are hoping that he can have his eyesight in his left eye restored so he can read and drive again. So please be generous with you financial gift to help him out of the financial situation he finds himself in at this time. He only has medicare and no other insurance.
It is hard to believe but Advent begins December 5th, 2023 with the First Sunday of the New Church Year. We will be having Mid-Week Advent services Wednesday afternoons at 4:00PM so you do not have to drive at night. Also please keep in mind that Christmas Eve in on a Sunday and we will have our normal worship at 10:00AM on December 24th, and a Candlelight Service at 7:00PM Christmas Eve.
There are times when someone mispells a word or a letter is left out of a word and yet we know exactly what they are saying or how the word should be spelled. Our minds make the corrections without us thinking about it or even at times noticing the error. Well, a funny thing is that exact thing has happened on the front cover of our new directory. Remember Susan said we are mere motals and we all make mistakes and need a little grace? Well on the front cover of our new directory the church email has a letter missing. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., an “I” was dropped from Trinity, so please make the mental correction when emailing the church.
Trinity members and friends rose to the challenge of filling shoeboxes for the “Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child”. Unfortunately we did not get them all to the front of the church like we have done in other years to show you how many shoeboxes were were filled. I am told that you the members and friends filled all the boxes we had on hand amounting to @ 70 boxes. These boxes will be sent throughout the world to brighten some boy or girls life with a little joy from right here in south central Florida. Thank You so very much!
Susan has flyers for the New Floridian Concert to be held here on Sunday afternoon December 10th, at 3:00PM. We would love to be able to fill the sanctuary with family and friends for the concert. So we are asking if you have a bulletine board in your clubhouse or gathering area of you development please help us get the word out, put a flyer up for all to see! See Susan for flyers! Thank you!
The Trinity Tots Christmas program will be on Sunday December 17th, 2023 at 4:00PM!
We are coming to the close of yet another year soon and we have to prepare for next year. We have many things we would like to try to accomplish in 2024 but we cannot do these things without your help. Our Church Council has done remarkable things working together this past year and we want to build on what has been accomplished preparing for the future. So if you have a skill or simply a desire to help out, please speak to Mike Bardon our President or Steve Bradshaw our Vice-President. The more people helping makes the ministry so much easier on everyone as we enter into the new year together.
Another way that you may be able to help us is by making an end of the year financial gift. Admittedly the summer months drain our funds despite the best efforts of our members and some winter residents who give year round, bills are constantly coming in and money is going out. Maybe if you are receiving this email and you are no longer associated with Trinity or any church at this time, maybe you can give a donation to help us out.

We are moving forward with 1 Thessalonians this coming Sunday and we are moving forward to Sesson #5 which I have attached for those of you who may not have been with us Sunday and still want to follow along on your own.
