All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Good Monday May 20th greetings!  It is hard to believe that school ends this week.  Trinity Tots held their closing program last Sunday afternoon closing out our 35th school year.  So many people have no idea what it takes to have a quality, consistent program for 35 years.  Susan has literally poured her life into this program for the past 35 years.  She gets up every school day morning at 5:00AM to be in the office shortly after 6:00AM so she can be ready to welcome the first drop of student for the day.  From the humble beginnings when we were still at the Phoenix and Pine street location with “Mother’s Morning Out” with volunteers Marianne Moore and May Battani, God has certainly blessed our preschool program.  Today with 7 wonderful staff members including  Susan as Director and Ali Pepper as Assitant Director and Substitute Teacher, Amanda Hurm, Desiree Escobar, Sarah Harris, Rebecca Phipps, and Harriet Joslyn, Trinity Tots has been tremendously blessed.  The support and prayers of the many members of Trinity Lutheran Church has been such a blessing throughout the years. Additionally we have a great Trinity Tots School Board made up of volunteers from the church as well as a parent from our program.  One of our members, Betty Suarez deserves a special shout out and thank you as she has attended 32 closing programs as well as attending many other events of the Trinity Tots overall program.  That is amazing!  So thank you Betty for you support throughout the years.  We also thank the entire congregation year ‘round members as well as our winter residents.  Without your unconditional support, Trinity Tots would not be possible.

Something to think about.  It is hard to put my next thought in words, but bear with me.  We touch the lives of those who are touched by those lives we touch, influence and encourage.  Think about that for a moment.  We have such a powerful impact on the lives of those we touch and then those who they touch and so on and so on.  I often think back to my own Baptism and wonder if my Pastor Rev. Voitko or my Parents or Aunt Helen my Godmother or Uncle Donald my Godfather had any idea 67 years ago that I woud have had the opportunity to impact so many lives with my preaching and teaching.  Through the past 41 years I have tried to touch so many lives and then they touch the lives of others.  It is an amazing responsibility we have to teach the purity of the truth of Scripture to the young and old alike.  How many lives have you touched?  Remember you are what you do, not what you could do.  You will not be remembered for your good intentions, only the legacy that you leave behind.

Please remember that next Monday and Tuesday the church office will closed as Window World will be replacing all the Windows in our building.  Following Church on Sunday we will need help taking down all the blinds and curtains on all our windows.  I am sure that someone will tell you how to mark them so we know what window they came off of.  Many of the blinds in the classrooms are simply being replaced with new ones.

Men of the congregation!  We will be at Oscar’s Kitchen in Placid Lakes for breakfast at 8:00AM this coming Saturday May 23rd, 2024!

I have attached my sermon for next Sunday for your review and edification.

That is all I have for this Monday!  Have a great week and make it great for someone else as well.
