All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Announcement!!!! The Ladies Guild Meeting scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday October 8th at 10:00AM has been postponed until

NEXT TUESDAY OCTOBER 15TH, AT 10:00AM.

Greetings!  I sincerely pray that Milton decides to decrease in wind velocity and strength before it slams into the west coast of Florida somewhere.  The concerning news is that unlike Helene that skirted the west coast and upward, Milton is going to go right across the state.  This means that Desoto, Hardee, Highlands, Glades, and Polk counties will more that likely see sustained hurricane category #1 winds.  So this means that according to Highlands County Emergency Management we can see winds 58-73 miles per hour within in our area.  Please finish your preparations by Tuesday afternoon.

We will be closing down here at Trinity Tuesday as Schools are closed in Highlands County are closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  So Trinity Tots will be closed.  The reason for the closing is because busses cannot be on the road with winds at 45 MPH or higher as there is potential of them tipping over.  Additionally some of the schools are used for shelters.

I do not have a list of the shelters that may opened for this storm, but they will be announced on local radio stations such as wwoj, or wwtk.  But please if you live in a Mobile Home please find shelter in a sturdy concrete block structure for the duration of the storm.  Please make your evacuation plans TODAY and please let your family or a few friends know where you will be spending the duration of the storm.

Also please be advised that EMS will not be able to respond to you in the middle of the storm if winds exceed 45 miles an hour.  It is unsafe for them to respond until the winds subside.

Pastor’s Phone is 863-441-4168

Susan’s Phone is 863-441-4169

Please be smart, be safe, and pray that this storm will decrease in strength.
