Warm Up Question: How handy are you when it comes to fixing things?

Scripture Readings:

Genesis 2:16-17  “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Proverbs 1:29  “Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord”

Proverbs 16:4 “The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.”

John 8:32  “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:34 “Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.”

James 1:13-15 “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.”

1. Why did God tell Eve not to eat the forbidden fruit?
2. Is the belief that once saved is always saved true ?

4. Can our expressions of free will define our relationship with God?
