All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,
Greetings on this Monday morning! Susan and I were good grandparents on Saturday. We went to the Highlands County Fair Livestock Show for goats. We were there nearly 5 hours sitting on nice steel bleechers. Our oldest grandaughter, Holland, has been raising and traing “Sir Benedict” a 105 pound goat. This was here first year so all of her aunts, uncles, cousings, sister, mom, dad and grandparents for this event. Their were 88 goats to show and she was in the second to last class to show. For her first year showing she did very well winning 3rd Place for her class and 5th Place in showmanship. Needless to say the family was very proud of her and “Benny’s” accomplishments. Wednesday night is Chicken night where our youngest grandaughter, Addison, will show “Dottie” the Chicken. This is always and exciting show to watch with all the little ones holding strongly onto their chickens. Thursday night is the “Livestock Auction” where “Sir Benedict” will be autioned off to a buyer. This is an all new world to Susan and myself as we were raised in the big city areas, but it is exciting and educational.
Although our guest in yesterday’s service from the Holy Land was difficult to understand with his accent, he was interesting. The congregation was very generous in purchasing some beautiful Olive Wood pieaces from the people of the Holy Land. All that was on display was hand carved from people living in the Holy Land and this is how they support themselves. Thank you for you generousity!
Our Adult Bible Class will be looking at and discussing the “Fall of Man” this coming Sunday. The opening Question is “What is one things you learned from your parents?” See you at 8:30AM.
This Saturday morning 2/15/2025 from 8;00AM to 11:00AM the Families of Trinity Tots will have a “Parking Lot Sale” here at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Please remember that Mr. Keith Goodson will be painting live in worship on February 23, 2025 at 10:00AM.
