Greeting on this final Monday in the month of February! It is hard to believe that we are already here at the end of the month. Remember that one week from this coming Saturday night, March 8th, 2025 you will need to “spring ahead” one hour as daylight savings time begins. I will remind you again next week.
People have asked me where do we get our services. We get our services from “Creative Worship”. This is a monthly publication from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Board for Worship. It has been review for its content and approved for use in Missouri Synod Churches. It is somewhat contemporary and not hymnal services, but it has been approved non-the-less by the LCMS for use in our churches. Yes it is different but it has all the elements found in the Hymnal worship services confession, absolution, Scripture readings, sermons, benediction, all the elements for right and proper worship just done in a non-traditional style.
Yesterday Sunday February 23, 2025 was certainly a great day here at Trinity. Great attendance, great music, and great artistic work by Mr. Keith Goodson. I hope that all of you who were present got the prints you desired. He has some beautiful artwork that was available for purchase. I have attached a picture of the artwork he painted during our service yesterday.
I have attached my Sermon for next Sunday. I did not send my sermon our last week because it was so unusual with the hymn “Jesus Loves The Little Children” intersperced.
I have attached the “one and done” studies that we are exploring in our Adult Bible Discussion classes at 8:30AM each Sunday. For you reference we are going to be discussing Noah and the Ark both in the discussion guide and in the worksheets. I am sending these out because I cannot separate them so I am sending them all to you and I will tell you each week what lesson we will be discussing.
he opening question for this weeks class is “who is your favorite author?”
Mr. Steve Bradshaw and myself will be attending the 2025 Fl/Ga District Convention June 5th-7th at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista South in Orlando, FL.
